I'm new to the blogging world but I do know from reading about blogs that the main thing is brevity.... so here it is- the main thing that's wrong with the sporting world today is the inability of the sports media to relate key sports figures and ideas to us.  The general public needs a reason to hang on to the drama that is sports, and the only way to do that is to tug at their hearts and give them a reason to care.  Without a presumable reason to watch and care for sports we're left with nothing more than a guy hitting, slamming, or carrying a ball...which is fine for a good portion of us, but not the general public.
